JYP Entertainment has shared a statement following a report about GOT7’s Jinyoung joining BH Entertainment.
On December 23, TV Daily reported that Jinyoung and BH Entertainment recently met to discuss a possible exclusive contract. According to the news outlet, Jinyoung has also spoken with other agencies, but is leaning towards joining BH Entertainment. BH Entertainment is home to various actors, including Lee Byung Hun, Go Soo, Kim Go Eun, Park Bo Young, and Han Ji Min.
Regarding this report, a source from BH Entertainment stated, “I have not heard anything about an exclusive contract,” but apparently did not deny having had a meeting with Jinyoung.
JYP Entertainment told Sports Chosun, “It is true that GOT7’s exclusive contract expires around next January. We are discussing various possibilities with the members regarding the direction they will take in the future ”.
In a separate statement to Xportsnews, the agency commented, “We are still discussing with Jinyoung on the issue of his contract renewal from various angles.
Jinyoung made his acting debut in 2012 with KBS 2TV’s “Dream High 2”. He made his singing debut the same year as the duo JJ Project with JB, and in 2014, he and JB debuted again as part of GOT7. He has balanced activities in music and acting throughout his career.
