KUALA LUMPUR (October 14): Godell Gas International Sdn Bhd (GGI) has signed two liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply agreements with Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) through its subsidiary Petronas Dagangan Bhd (PDB), to satisfy the growing demand for cleaner products. energy in Malaysia.

In the first LNG supply agreement, Petronas will supply LNG to GGI through the Regasification Terminal in Pengerang, Johor.

GGI will then market and deliver the LNG to off-grid customers throughout Malaysia through a virtual pipeline system (VPS) to GGI financed, built and operated vaporizer and storage facilities at the respective customers’ commercial facilities. .

“In the future, industries in Malaysia that are not connected to natural gas infrastructure will have the flexibility to switch to gas as an alternative form of cleaner energy.

“The business model adopted by GGI for Malaysia’s LNG initiatives offers zero investment by each customer for migration to LNG as energy use,” said Raja Azhar.

The second LNG supply agreement will see GGI as Petronas’ fueling business partner.

The LNG supplied by Petronas will be distributed to LNG-fueled vessels in Malaysian waters through ship-to-ship (STS) fuel supply.

Under the agreement, GGI will insure LNG-fueled recipient ships and facilitate STS fueling services.

Along with the above initiatives, GGI has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with CPP Petroleum Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd (CPP) and also China Construction Bank (Malaysia) Bhd (CCB) to form a collaboration to support VPS. and LNG fuel supply project.

CPP is an integrated service provider for the storage and transportation of oil and gas, specializing in providing LNG solutions on land and at sea.

CCB is one of the largest banks in China that is dedicated to providing a wide range of banking products and services to its clients around the world.

CPP will support the projects as a turnkey contractor and project coordinator, while CCB will be the main banker, facilities agent and security agent.
