Girl seriously injured falling from the fourth floor

PUTRAJAYA: A 10-year-old girl suffered serious injuries after falling from the fourth floor while trying to retrieve a bottle that had fallen outside the hallway of a public servants’ housing on Presint 11 here yesterday.

Putrajaya District Police Chief Deputy Commissioner Mohd Fadzil Ali said the initial investigation found that the incident occurred while the victim, Nur Alya Maisarah Kamarulfaizal, was playing in the hallway of the housing unit.

He said it was understood that the victim accidentally threw the bottle out of the hallway of his household.

“The victim then climbed onto a chair to retrieve the bottle before slipping and falling in the motorcycle parking area,” he said today in a press release.

He said that during the incident, the victim’s father, who is also an auxiliary police staff of the Putrajaya IPD, was at home while his mother was at work.

After his fall, the victim lost consciousness and is currently being treated at Putrajaya Hospital and is reported to be in stable condition, he said.

According to the latest report, he said the victim suffered a broken collarbone and could have injured his ribs and spine, but he is still waiting for the results of a specialist tomorrow. -Called
