- Low has come under increasing pressure from fans to reconsider his decision.
Joachim Low has reiterated that he has no plans to call Thomas Muller, Jerome Boateng and Mats Hummels into the Germany setup despite the trio continuing to impress the country’s two biggest clubs.
The three biggest stars were left out of the Germany team in March last year and Low surprisingly announced that they would not be selected in the future.
They had played an important role in Germany’s rise to the top of international soccer, but Low insisted that it needed to bleed into younger talents for the national team to progress.

And Low has remained under pressure to rethink his decision with Muller and Boateng helping Bayern win an impressive hat-trick last season and Hummels continues to perform at the highest level with Borussia Dortmund.
“We basically decided not to nominate these players, nothing has changed that now,” Low clarified in an interview with Kicker. We can’t go back now.
However, a margin of maneuver was given to change his mind should exceptional circumstances arise.
“They are great players with class,” continued the World Cup winner. ‘If a completely new situation arises for us next year due to the failure of key players, I will assess it accordingly and think of alternative scenarios. ‘
