Gareth Bale tells José Mourinho the four positions he can play in while making Tottenham claim

Tottenham fans will just have to wait a little longer to see Gareth Bale return in the Spurs jersey.

Meeting the Lilywhites on a one-season loan deal last Saturday from Real Madrid, the Welshman is currently on leave with a knee injury sustained in international service earlier this month.

Bale is not expected to return until after next month’s international games, which means it could be against West Ham or Burnley when he makes his second Tottenham debut.

José Mourinho has plenty of attacking options at the club and Premier League defenders will not like facing Bale’s three forwards, Son Heung-min and Harry Kane.

But where exactly could we see Bale line up at Spurs XI?

“Anywhere in the front. I feel comfortable on the right where I have played most of my career, behind the forward where I have played a lot and I have played a lot on the left,” he told Sky Sports in an exclusive interview.

“I can do a job from the beginning, but most of my career has been playing on the right wing, intervening or going further.

“Anywhere in the top three I feel comfortable.”

Despite having won many honors at the Santiago Bernabéu, his stint in the Spanish capital has turned sour in the last two seasons after losing favor with Zinedine Zidane.

Spending the vast majority of his time watching from the sidelines, the attacker has claimed that his energy levels have already increased after his return to N17.
