It’s Friday and here is the weekly fuel price update. The recent upward trend continues and motorists will have to pay more for gasoline and diesel in the upcoming week of December 12-18.
The Ministry of Finance has announced that gasoline of 95 RON 4 million will be priced at RM 1.73 per liter, three sen more than last week’s RM 1.7 per liter. Similarly, 97 RON gasoline experiences a three sen increase to RM2.03 per liter (from RM2).
The same goes for diesel users. Euro 2M diesel will be priced at RM1.93 per liter next week, an increase of three sen from RM1.90 per liter. Consequently, Euro 5 diesel, which costs 10 sen more than Euro 2M diesel, will be priced at RM2.03 per liter this week.
These prices will remain in effect until December 18, which is when the next round of fuel price updates will be announced. This is the 49th edition of the weekly fuel price format this year, and the 101st in total since the format was introduced, which runs from midnight Saturday to the following Friday, early 2019.
