Fuel price for the first week of December 2020: all prices went up

Another Friday, and with that, the usual weekly fuel price update. The uptrend in fuel prices continues, which means that motorists will have to pay more for gasoline and diesel in the coming weeks of December 5-11.

The finance ministry has announced that gasoline of 95 RON 4 million will be priced at RM 1.7 per liter, three sen more than last week’s RM 1.67 per liter. Similarly, RON 97 gasoline saw an increase of three sen to RM2.00 per liter this week (RM1.97 last week).

Diesel fuel users will also pay more. Euro 2M diesel will be priced at RM1.90 per liter next week, five singles more than the current RM1.85 per liter. Consequently, Euro 5 diesel, which costs 10 sen more than Euro 2M diesel, will be priced at RM2.00 per liter this week.

These prices will remain in effect until December 11, which is when the next round of fuel price updates will be announced. This is the 48th edition of the weekly fuel pricing format this year, and the 100th in total since the format was introduced, which runs from midnight on Saturday to the following Friday, early 2019.
