PETALING JAYA: Four water treatment plants have resumed operations and Air Selangor will notify users of the water supply recovery schedule based on locations after its water supply distribution system stabilizes.

The head of Air Selangor’s corporate communication unit, Elina Baseri, said that phases 1, 2, 3 and Rantau Panjang of the Sungai Selangor water treatment plants had resumed operations as of 10.30 pm on Friday ( 4th of September).

“The four water treatment plants will take 10 hours to clean and pump before they can fully operate,” Air Selangor said in a statement on Saturday.

He said the process was expected to complete at 8.30am on Saturday (September 5) before it can be distributed to users.

“Air Selangor has distributed the emergency water supply through 114 truck tanks, including nine operators from other states, and has allocated 22 public pipes in areas with water supply, 70 stationary tanks in 19 local service centers and has distributed 5 liters of drinking water to the affected residents, “said Elina. .
