IPOH: Police arrested four men for obstructing them in the performance of their duties near the Slim River toll plaza in the early hours of Friday (October 16).

Muallim OCPD Superintendent Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman said that in the incident, police were called in to deal with four men, ages 25 to 41, who were creating a scandal on the side of the road near the toll plaza on Friday around the 3.30 am

He said all four were found to be drunk and told to leave the area.

“They were standing outside a car and playing loud music.

“They were advised to leave, but two went crazy and pushed the police officers while using explicit language,” he said in a statement.

“During the incident, one of the four men also began to record a video while trying to provoke,” he added.

Superintendent Sulizmie Affendy said the four were arrested and would be investigated under Section 186 of the Penal Code.

He said one of the four men has had gambling crimes and disturbances on his record.

“They are in preventive detention for three days until October 18 to facilitate investigations.

“If found guilty, they could face a maximum of two years in jail or a fine of up to RM10,000 or both,” he said.
