This former Manchester United player has made a shocking statement about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Jadon Sancho ahead of the summer transfer window.
Few of them break the sacred bond in soccer. Passing an archrival is one of those wordless votes that you are expected to keep no matter what happens. If you somehow break it, you will instantly become a treacherous traitor and be engulfed in infamy. Especially if the two rival parties in question are Manchester United and Liverpool.
Paul Ince made a name for himself at Old Trafford after being discovered by Sir Alex Ferguson as a young player in West Ham. The robust and energetic midfielder was crucial in helping the Scotsman test the first vestiges of success during Ferguson’s long reign.
Ince was loved for his tenacious style and heart and desire in the field. He became a fan favorite at the Stretford End and fans were sad to see him leave for Inter Milan.
More of Red Devil Armada
Unfortunately, Paul Ince tarnished his reputation at Old Trafford when, on his return to England, he made the infamous move to Merseyside.
Ince served Liverpool for just two years as a player, but those two years were enough for all his contributions to United to be erased by fans.
However, the former English international still fondly appreciates the club and has expressed some firm opinions on current Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as well as on the club’s current number one transfer target, Jadon Sancho.
Speaking to Paddy Power through the Daily Mail, Paul Ince has urged Jadon Sancho to be cautious about moving to United and expressed his uncertainty about whether Solskjaer has the ability to upgrade someone of Jadon Sancho’s quality and lead him to the “next level”.
This is what Paul Ince said in its entirety:
“He is clearly trying to develop a young team, so that will help, but in terms of person-to-person management and development of someone like Sancho, he is a total stranger.” We have yet to see any evidence that it can take a player to the next level. “
The comments will upset fans, especially given the streak Solskjaer has enjoyed with the Red Devils prior to soccer’s suspension.
And if the Norwegian boss has the ability to develop players, one has only to look at the revival of Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford, who enjoyed their best individual seasons under Solskjaer, as proof that they have what it takes.
With the Norwegian clearly trying to build a team for the future and having trained at the academy level, Jadon Sancho should have no qualms about moving to United and should avoid Ince’s advice.
What do you think of Paul Ince’s comments?
