Focus on the budget vote in today’s Dewan session

KUALA LUMPUR: Today’s Dewan Rakyat session will be closely watched to see if the 2021 budget will be approved.

If time permits, the vote on the Supply Bill 2021, which covers the budget, will take place shortly after the remaining nine ministers complete the settlement of the debate for their ministries.

The budget is the first for the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government headed by Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin since he took power last March. It is allocating RM322.5 billion for national spending next year.
