PUTRAJAYA: Employers who have foreign domestic workers stranded abroad but who possess temporary work visit passes can apply for permission to enter the country through the MyTravelPass (MTP) system.
“All appeals will be considered on a case-by-case basis,” said Director General of Immigration Datuk Khairul Dzaimee Daud. (pix) it said today in a statement.
He explained that the restriction of entry to foreigners, including domestic workers from Indonesia and the Philippines, was a measure to stop the spread of Covid-19, although entry can be considered for cases related to health and other critical matters.
He said employers must comply with all entry conditions set by the Immigration Department and also with Covid-19 prevention steps, including detection and 14-day quarantine, in addition to bearing the cost of quarantine.
