PETALING JAYA: A staff member from the office of Lembah Pantai Deputy Fahmi Fadzil tested positive for Covid-19.
Fahmi, who is also PKR’s director of strategic communications, said he and the rest of his office staff would self-quarantine at home.
“One of my office staff members who just returned from Sabah on September 25th has been confirmed positive for Covid-19 and has been taken to Sungai Buloh Hospital for treatment and isolation.
“In accordance with the standard operating procedure of the Ministry of Health and the Lembah Pantai District Health Office, seeing that the staff member was a close contact, the rest of my staff and I have gone to the health clinic in Tanglin for the detection of Covid-19.
“We will be under home quarantine according to the time period indicated by the Lembah Pantai District Health Office,” he said in a Facebook post on Wednesday (September 30).
He said that as a result, his office will be closed until the period of the home quarantine order is complete and a unit will be sent to his office to decontaminate the facilities.
“For now, if the people of Lembah Pantai have any business to bring to the office, they can contact us on our Facebook page or by email.
“Any inconvenience is deeply regretted. Please pray that we are safe from the Covid-19 virus, “he said.
