JOHOR BARU: The Employee Provident Fund (EPF) has announced the temporary closure of its Johor Baru office effective Sunday (December 6) until further notice.
In a statement on its Facebook page, the closure was a directive given by the Ministry of Health to the local management to carry out disinfection and sanitation works.
“Members who have scheduled appointments for today and the next few dates have been encouraged to reschedule their affairs through their online appointment.
“Members can also visit any of the EPF branches in Johor that are still operational or transact online for certain services through i-Akaun,” the statement read.
Meanwhile, the video is circulating on social media, where long lines of people can be seen outside the EPF building located along Jalan Dato Dalam here.
A security guard can be heard informing the public that the building has been closed, after one of the EPF workers tested positive for Covid-19.
