PETALING JAYA: The “search screen” squad has verified three zones within Jalan Othman’s Enhanced Movement Control (MCO) order area.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said the controls have been carried out since Wednesday (May 13).

“The operations are aimed at identifying the occupied facilities, of which its residents did not respond or cooperate with Ministry of Health personnel,” it said in a statement Thursday (May 14).

A total of 46 stores in Zone B were reviewed, where two stores and two foreigners were selected.

“So far, a total of 540 test samples have been negative, including that of a foreigner who attempted to escape the MCO enhanced area on Tuesday (May 12),” he said.

ACP Nik Ezanee said Health Ministry officials also uncovered some overlapping data in terms of the examinee’s list.

“The ministry updated the list today and a total of 2,150 people, 1,555 locals and 595 foreigners, have been evaluated,” he said.

ACP Nik Ezanee, most of the people in the area, calmly accepted the situation and supported the decision to impose the enhanced MCO in the area.

“I am grateful for your cooperation and I hope that you will continue to be patient and give your full cooperation to all agencies involved.

“Those with questions can contact the upgraded MCO operating room at 013-266 6165,” he added.

ACP Nik Ezanee said the Ministry of Health has established three Covid-19 testing centers in Zones A, B and C with the help of the Petaling Jaya City Council.

Jalan Othman’s area is under the enhanced MCO from May 10-23.
