PUTRAJAYA: Director General of Health Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah (Photo) will give “live” updates on the country’s Covid-19 situation from home.
Dr. Noor Hisham is currently in self-quarantine, after attending a meeting in which the Minister of the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Seri Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri, participated.
Zulkifli, who is the minister in charge of religious affairs, was confirmed to be positive for Covid-19 on Monday (October 5).
Dr. Noor Hisham, who has been giving live press conferences on national television since March, will be on the air from the official Facebook of the Ministry of Health on Tuesday (October 6) at 5.30pm.
The ministry said that Dr. Noor Hisham will provide the updates on the Covid-19 situation and answer various questions sent by the media.
The meeting that Zulkifli and Dr. Noor Hisham attended was the ministerial meeting on Covid-19, which was chaired by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
Muhyiddin and several other ministers are also observing self-quarantine following Zulkifli’s Covid-19 outcome.
