KUALA LUMPUR: The strong unity among Malaysians is the country’s success that cannot be taken lightly, says National Unity Minister Datuk Halimah Mohamed Sadique.
He said that unity was the country’s most significant achievement, so all efforts, conscience and desire to preserve harmony among the people should continue to be strengthened.
Halimah said that the rich culture, racial diversity and colorful life of each Malaysian have formed the basis of the country’s prosperity.
“Although Malaysia Day is celebrated in a moderate way this year, I am sure that the feeling of togetherness among people still manifests itself through the practice of the values that unite us.
“Let’s celebrate Malaysia Day together, full of enthusiasm, to get closer. This will maintain peace under the sovereignty of the country, “he said in a statement, here today.
Halimah also hoped Malaysians would continue to be vigilant and adhere to new rules and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to curb Covid-19, as well as preserve good values and decency.
Tomorrow, the country will celebrate Malaysia Day 2020, with the nationwide celebration taking place at the Sibu Indoor Stadium, Sarawak, and will be attended by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. -Named
