Dimitar Berbatov names Man United star Nemanja Vidic as the toughest opponent

Dimitar Berbatov has revealed that Nemanja Vidic was the toughest opponent he faced during his playing career.

The Manchester United legend played with and against Vidic in the Premier League, having joined the Tottenham Red Devils in 2008.

Berbatov, who spent two years at Fulham after leaving United, would end his Premier League career with just four strokes under 100 goals.

When TalkSport asked him who his toughest opponent was, he said, “I always say a name, first I played against him and then with him and it was Vidic.”

Berbatov would win two Premier League titles alongside Vidic at United and would collect a runner-up medal in the Champions League in 2009.

But the striker was completely eliminated from the team that lost to Barcelona in the Champions League final in 2011.
