PETALING JAYA: Almost 70% of the 26 active Covid-19 groups in Selangor are not linked to those who recently returned from Sabah, says Health Director General Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah.
He said that of the 26 active Covid-19 conglomerates in Selangor, 18 conglomerates or 69.2% were local infections, while the remaining eight conglomerates or 30.8% are linked to those that returned from Sabah after the elections. state last month.
“This means that 69.2% of the infections in Selangor are not related to those returning from Sabah. The Covid-19 virus is already in our community, ”he posted on Facebook on Wednesday (October 21).

Dr Noor Hisham also said that the six new groups that have been reported since October 11 were local broadcasts, with nine groups or 34.6% related to workplace infections, while 1% or the 3.8% related to shopping centers.
On Tuesday (October 20), Dr. Noor Hisham said that Selangor recorded 132 new infections, bringing the total number of positive cases in Selangor to 3,489.
On Monday (October 19), Selangor registered 107 positive cases and 77 the day before (October 18).
