MUAR: Despite receiving an ultimatum to decide between its cooperation with Umno in Muafakat Nasional (MN) and PPBM in Perikatan Nasional (PN), PAS remains firm that it wants to continue to be a bridge that unites the two parties in conflict.

PAS central working committee member Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali said PAS will try to ensure that cooperation between the three parties continues until the 15th general election (GE15).

He said PAS hoped that the three parties could sit down and discuss the matter to ensure that efforts to unite the ummah continue and at the same time they can remain in command of the country.

Khairuddin, who is also minister of plantation and commodity industries, said this after launching the national bamboo industry conference and the inauguration ceremony of the bamboo plantation at the Pagoh campus of the Universiti Tun Hussein Onn here today. .

He had been asked to comment on the 2020 Umno general assembly decision on Saturday to end his cooperation with Bersatu at GE15.

The Kuala Nerus MP said that even if it could not salvage the political cooperation between Umno and PPBM, the PAS would try to ensure that there was no candidate clash in the elections.

“PAS is with PPBM through the Perikatan Nasional and with Umno through Muafakat Nasional until the elections… until the formation of a new government, God willing,” he said.
