PETALING JAYA: Dengkil Assemblyman Adhif Syan Abdullah has been confirmed positive for Covid-19 and will be quarantined today for treatment.

In a statement, Adhif said he underwent a medical swab after his driver had a fever for the past two days.

“We both took medical smears yesterday as a precautionary measure and the hospital confirmed us positive,” he said, adding that they were in stable condition.

The Health Ministry has been informed of his close contacts and more swabs will be done, he said, urging the public to cooperate with authorities on matters related to Covid-19.

It also announced the 14-day closure of its service center in Dengkil for disinfection purposes. As a precautionary measure, staff will also self-quarantine.
