KUALA LUMPUR: The Shah Alam High Court set December 8 for handling the case in an appeal from the ex-husband of popular singer Ziana Zain, who was found guilty of causing harm to their nine-year-old son.

Lawyer Amir Farid Mohd Nawawi, who represented Armin Zaharin Ahmad Zambri, informed the press that the matter was initially resolved for today (November 19) but was postponed due to the movement control order (MCO).

It said that the appellant received an email from the Chief Deputy Clerk of the Superior Court, Nur Azizah Jaafar, on Wednesday (November 18) informing them that the date had been postponed to December 8.

“The court has also given instructions on the time for the appellant to file the appeal petition,” Amir said when contacted.

Armin, a former chief administrator, is appealing against his conviction and sentence handed down by the Shah Alam Magistrates Court on September 28.
