LOS ANGELES (ANN): A 50-year-old man died in California, USA, after being hit by three different drivers who fled the scene.
José Fuentes was hit for the first time by a still unknown motorcycle driver in a South Los Angeles neighborhood last night, Nov. 25, according to ABC-owned KABC-TV, the same day.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) revealed that Fuentes was struck while crossing the street by a dark-colored motorcycle driven by a man.
After the motorcyclist fled, Fuentes was left on the road while none of the other drivers stopped to help him, according to the report.
After a few seconds, he was hit by a white sedan, which also fled the scene immediately. Both collisions were caught on security cameras, ABC News reported the same day.
Fuentes was later hit a third time by another vehicle, although authorities did not release his description. Authorities are still looking for the suspects.
“No one stopped and helped Mr. Fuentes while he was lying there,” LAPD Detective Ryan Moreno said in a press release.
“The guy on the motorcycle hit the street, maybe [he could have] stopped to block traffic and prevented even the second or third collision from occurring. But he chose to get on his motorcycle and took off and left and fled the scene, ”he said. – Philippine Daily Inquirer / Asia News Network
