KUALA LUMPUR, September 30 – Kuala Lumpur City Council (DBKL) will adopt a new method for paying for city street parking starting tomorrow.

DBKL said today in a statement that parking payments would now be made through mobile applications and e-wallets, namely EZ Smart Park, Flexiparking, Wilayah Parking or M-Cash to replace the use of parking payment machines.

The statement also said that DBKL was in the midst of implementing parking payment through Boost and the Touch n Go e-wallet to provide more payment options to users.

“For now, the daily and monthly parking passes are not yet available in the apps and e-wallets. This function will be activated after the system update.

“The reserved bay applications are operating as usual and at the same cost,” he said, adding that the DBKL encouraged the public to become familiar with the new payment method. – Bernama
