DAY6 will temporarily suspend the activities and promotions of its team.
On May 10, JYP Entertainment released a statement about the members’ mental health and the group’s upcoming return.
The statement says:
Hello, this is JYP Entertainment.
First, we would like to apologize for delivering such unfortunate news on the eve of DAY6’s return. Recently, some of the members showed symptoms of psychological anxiety and received a detailed examination. The medical advice was that they needed enough rest and stability. After careful discussions between the agency and the members, we decided to temporarily suspend the team’s promotions, including this upcoming album, to focus on regaining their health.
We ask for your understanding by suddenly suspending promotions with a new album on the way. As an agency, we promise to do everything we can to prioritize members’ health and focus on improving their condition. We will notify you of the details of your return to promotions when the time comes. We ask for your support and love so that DAY6 can fully recover as a team once again.
DAY6’s new album “The Book of Us: The Demon” is due out on May 11.
