GEORGE TOWN: Penang DAP Chairman Chow Kon Yeow reiterates the party’s position that he will not work with Umno leaders currently facing legal charges.

He said that the party’s general secretary, Lim Guan Eng, had made it clear that the party would not work with such leaders in the new government claimed by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

“Hypothetically, if the figures stated by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim include the leaders of Umno, especially those currently facing charges, the party cannot work with such a coalition of personalities,” he told reporters after the award ceremony. e-learning devices in Sunshine Square. on Saturday (September 26).

Chow, who is also the national vice president of the DAP, said that if the party was not informed and consulted on who will join the new government, it will not work with them.

However, he said the coalition would have to wait for the list of MPs claimed by Anwar.

Earlier on Wednesday (September 23), Anwar claimed that he had a “strong and formidable majority” to form the next government.
