Cyberpunk 2077 is, while it looks like a great game, it is currently an absolute disaster thanks to the litany of bugs and glitches in the game. While your repayment situation was initially difficult, things have started to settle down a bit. So we thought we would compile a list of ways that Malaysian players can get their money back if they are not happy with the experience.

Play station
If you are one of the lucky ones to have obtained your pre-ordered PlayStation 5 (PS5), chances are you will not opt for a refund. Those on the older generation console, however, particularly the base PS4 model, will probably want to. And now that Sony Interactive Entertainment has finally said that it will accept refunds for Cyberpunk 2077, this is how you can go about it.
And getting started is as simple as following this link once you’ve logged into your PlayStation account. Once you’re there, just look for the button that says “Click here to submit a refund request.” The site doesn’t do much after that, in addition to telling you that your request has been submitted.
All that said, there are a few caveats to the process. First of all, the website doesn’t really track whether you actually bought the game or not. We were able to click the same button and get the same confirmation message, although none of us bought the game on the PS platform. Also, if you refresh the page, you can repeat the whole process, which suggests that each time you press the button you send a request ticket linked to the account you are logged in to. Which means someone will have to manually go through each request.
Xbox
While Xbox has no official presence in Malaysia, the refund experience should be relatively similar. You will first need to head over to the support page while signed in and follow the motions. Chances are, if this applied to you, you would have already. After all, there are reports that Microsoft is much more accepting of Cyberpunk 2077 refunds. Of course, that still doesn’t guarantee a confirmation that you will get it.
Physical copies

For physical copies of Cyberpunk 2077, there is only one thing to do: you will have to send an email to [email protected] before December 21.
CD Projekt Red says you should try to get it from the retail store you bought it from first. But regional distributor Epvascript Asia has said it should send the email. So here things are as cut and dry as possible.
Unless, of course, you bought a physical PC copy, which is just a GOG code. For that, follow the steps outlined for that particular platform later in this article.

Steam
Steam has a reputation for being very strict with its refund policy. Typically this means making your refund request within 14 days of purchase and having played the game for less than two hours.
But for Cyberpunk 2077, there is a strong chance that Valve is willing to make an exception. All you need to do is log into your Steam account and visit this link.
GOG
It’s the same story for GOG, CD Projekt’s own launcher and marketplace. Just visit this link and fill out the form with the relevant details. If you’ve purchased a physical copy of Cyberpunk 2077 for PC, this probably applies to you as well.
The whole situation with Cyberpunk 2077 is pretty unfortunate. So if you are not satisfied with the game in its current state, feel free to request your money back. CDPR may ask you to give the company a chance, but you can always do so by purchasing the game in the future when it is in a more acceptable condition.
