Nazrin’s former personal driver, Muhammad Nabil Faqih, 28, told the High Court that it was his employer’s stepson who had informed him of the matter when they met on the day of the incident.
Muhammad Nabil said he knew that Nazrin had died when his employer’s secretary, Anisa, contacted him on June 14, 2018, and upon hearing the news, he had rushed to the victim’s home with his wife.
“On June 14 (2018), Nazrin gave me the day off. I got a call (from Anisa) informing me that Nazrin had passed away. When they asked me why, they told me there was a fire in their house.
“When I got to his house (from Nazrin), I met his stepson and asked him how the fire had happened.
