Covid-19: Uncle Don’s Restaurants Urges Customers To Get Tested After Employee Tested Positive

PETALING JAYA: Uncle Don’s Restaurants management asks customers who have visited their SS2 establishment from November 20 to 25 and experiencing Covid-19 symptoms to get tested for the virus.

The statement was issued after a worker tested positive for Covid-19.

“The worker at the SS2 facility had shown suspicious symptoms on November 25 and is now confirmed to have tested positive for Covid-19,” he said in a statement on Friday (November 27).

Of the 40 members of his staff who underwent a Covid-19 test on November 26, three tested positive, 23 tested negative, while the others are still awaiting their results.

“The three positive cases (which include the initial worker mentioned above) have already been sent to Sungai Buloh Hospital for treatment,” he said.

Management said the remaining staff will remain in self-quarantine for the period of time recommended by the Health Ministry.

“We also confirmed that the three positive cases were not on duty on November 25.

“However, we encourage any customer who has visited our SS2 point of sale within the period of November 20-25 and experiences symptoms to get tested,” he urged.

The restaurant will be closed until further notice to be disinfected.

The management assured that all its staff will undergo the necessary tests for Covid-19 and is providing full cooperation to the Ministry of Health for contact tracing.

“We wish to allay any fear or doubt and assure our valued customers that all other Uncle Don’s restaurant establishments will not be affected, as the SS2 establishment staff had no physical contact with the staff at our other establishments and hostels.” , said.

Uncle Don’s said it practices strict adherence to standard operating procedures at its points of sale in the battle against the Covid-19 pandemic.
