PUTRAJAYA: A list of standard operating procedures has been released for residents of Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya to observe and has been placed under the conditional movement control order (MCO) as of Wednesday (October 14).
While interstate and interdistrict movements involving areas under the conditional MCO are not allowed, those facing emergencies such as health and death may do so with the permission of the police.
Workers will be allowed to make interdistrict or interstate trips to and from work as long as they have letters of permission from their employers and staff identification cards as evidence if they stop at roadblocks.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that during this period, the government expected employers to allow their employees to work from home.
Out-of-state travelers who need to cross Selangor and Kuala Lumpur to reach destinations not affected by the order should seek police approval before making the trip.
Similarly, Ismail Sabri said that those who need to take a trip on flights at KLIA, KLIA2 and Subang Airport should also request permission from the police to travel by land to the airport.
Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya will be placed under the conditional MCO for 14 days until October 27.
“Only two people per household will be able to leave the house to get food and other essential needs. People in the high-risk category, as well as children, are encouraged not to be in public, open and crowded places during this time, ”he said on Tuesday (October 13).

Individual sports, e-sports, sports that do not involve physical contact, combat sports and outdoor sports with no more than 10 participants will be allowed for sports activities.
However, pool activities, events, and championships cannot be held during this period.
“Social events such as weddings, engagement parties, birthdays, reunions, as well as meetings, conferences, workshops, trainings and seminars will not be allowed,” said Ismail Sabri.
Regarding education, all educational institutions, schools, kindergartens, nurseries and nurseries will be closed during the conditional MCO.
Students taking exams at foreign institutes of higher education can attend school, but only for exams and not for lessons, the minister said.
