SINGAPORE, Dec.27 (Bernama): Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MINSA) confirmed that one of the 10 cases of Covid-19 imported into the republic announced on Saturday is a 64-year-old Malaysian man with a travel history to Indonesia.
Labeled as case 58757, the senior citizen who is the holder of a short-term visitation pass has been isolated upon arrival in Singapore, he said in his full data released last night.
“Case 58757 is the caregiver of a person who was already receiving medical care in Singapore and had returned for further treatment,” the ministry said.
The man and nine other imported cases were all asymptomatic and were detected from his detection and proactive surveillance, he said.
At noon on Saturday, the republic reported a total of 10 new cases, none in the community or residing in dormitories, bringing the total infection here to 58,519.
So far, the Health Ministry has classified 1,737 of the reported cases as imported, 2,276 as community cases, and 54,506 involving dormitory residents. – Bernama
