PETALING JAYA: The Royal Lake Club Kuala Lumpur has confirmed that one of its members tested positive for Covid-19, and Gamuda Walk confirmed the same with one of its staff members.

Royal Lake Club President Manjeet Singh Dhillon said that on Monday (November 23) the member had been confirmed to be positive for Covid-19 after undergoing a test the same day.

The member was a close contact of a visitor who had tested positive for Covid-19 on Saturday (November 21), he said in a statement on Tuesday (November 24).

The visitor was asymptomatic before, he added.

After the incident, Manjeet said that an instructor and the three other participants who were with the member in a yoga session in the club’s recreation room last Tuesday (November 17) were immediately informed and told to submit. to an evaluation.

“All subsequent yoga classes involving the same group were canceled.

“The recreation room and several areas have been closed for sanitation. All indoor activities in the recreation room have been canceled until November 26, ”he said.

He added that the club’s office is tracking the group’s contacts on the premises and has asked members who are being contacted to cooperate.

Separately, Gamuda Walk said the mall would be closed from November 24-26 for disinfection after a member of its staff tested positive on Tuesday (November 24).

In a statement, management said the staff member was admitted to a government hospital and that they were assisting health authorities with contact tracing.

“Gamuda Walk will be closed from November 24 to 26 for sanitation reasons in accordance with the health and safety guidelines of the Ministry of Health.”

“We would like to assure all tenants, vendors and customers that the case is an isolated case and that it has been dealt with immediately,” he said.
