KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd confirmed on Sunday (October 25) that an employee working as a transit officer on the MRT Kajang line has tested positive for Covid-19 and is currently in quarantine at Sungai Buloh Hospital .

The company said that as the operator of the MRT Kajang line, it ensured that the employee’s workplace was cleaned and disinfected according to the Ministry of Health guidelines on Saturday (October 24) evening.

“As for the trains, our standard operating procedure (SOP) is to disinfect and clean all trains every night after operation.

“All other personnel who have had close contact with the employee were urged to self-quarantine for 14 days, as established in the SOPs of the Ministry of Health,” the statement said, adding that the employee had not been on duty from October 21.

All relevant agencies were informed, including the National Security Council, the Ministry of Transport and the Public Land Transport Agency (APAD), it added.
