Covid-19: PJ OCPD under home quarantine again

PETALING JAYA: The Petaling Jaya District Chief Constable has re-quarantined himself after being in direct contact with a Covid-19 patient.

In a message to the media on Friday (November 13), Petaling Jaya OCPD communication assistant Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said he was in home quarantine until November 23 after being in contact with a Covid detainee. 19 during a visit to a dungeon.

“It is part of my job to manage the seven cells under my jurisdiction, which requires constant visits.

“In addition to monitoring my sentries and the expiration of the remand order, etc., we also take into account the well-being of the detainees. Therefore, small talk or casual interviews are held regularly,” he said.

ACP Ezanee added that a Covid-19 test had been performed on Friday morning and the results were still pending.

This is the second time that the Petaling Jaya OCPD has entered home quarantine in two months.

In October, he went into home quarantine for three days after coming into contact with a close contact for a positive Covid-19 case.

He was cleared to return to work after close contact tested negative.
