KUALA LUMPUR: The leaders of the Ministry of Special Assistance for Health (MINSA) of Covid-19 within the framework of the Strategic Program to Empower People and the Economy (Pemerkasa) will boost the mood within the workforce and, in turn, help to improve the quality of service to people.
Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Adham Baba said that the monthly aid of RM200 would mean a lot to those eligible, taking into account the additional tasks assumed in the National Covid-19 Immunization Program.
He said the Ministry of Health was also grateful to the government for the increase in the allocation for the immunization program from RM3 billion to RM5 billion to help accelerate its target herd community by December 2021.
“The ministry welcomes the announcement by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who is very concerned and understands the sacrifices of the 15,000 front-line members of the Ministry of Health attached to the 950 vaccination centers across the country.
“MINSA thanks the Prime Minister for the concern shown by the leaders in their battle to contain the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said today in a statement.
He said the ministry will continue to implement measures to slow the spread of the infection to allow economic activities to continue and the country’s borders to be opened for the prosperity and well-being of the country.
Last Wednesday, the government launched Pemerkasa, worth RM20 billion, along with a new government tax injection worth RM11 billion, to further support the nation’s economic recovery process. – Called
