PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia recorded 1,704 new Covid-19 infections on Sunday (Jan 3), says the Ministry of Health.
Health Director General Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah said the country also reported 11 new deaths from Covid-19, bringing the country’s death toll to 494.

A total of 2,726 patients recovered and were discharged, which means that the total number of people who have recovered from Covid-19 in the country is 97,218.

Active cases in the country now number 21,365.
In total, Malaysia has registered 119,077 cases of Covid-19.
Currently, 124 people are being treated in intensive care units, and 51 of them require respiratory assistance.
