PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia recorded 1,671 new Covid-19 infections on Saturday (March 20), says the Ministry of Health.
Health Director General Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah said the country also reported four new deaths from Covid-19, bringing the country’s death toll to 1,229.
He added that of the 1,671 new cases, two were imported and the rest were local transmissions.

There were 1,585 patients who recovered and were discharged, which means that the total number of people who have recovered from Covid-19 in the country is 316,042.

Active cases in the country now number 14,442.
In total, Malaysia has registered 331,713 cases of Covid-19.
Currently, 151 people are being treated in intensive care units, and 64 of them require respiratory assistance.
