PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia recorded 1,340 new Covid-19 infections on Saturday (December 19), says the Ministry of Health.
Health Director General Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah said the country also reported four new deaths from Covid-19, bringing the country’s death toll to 437.

There were 1,067 patients who recovered and were discharged, which means that the total number of people who have recovered from Covid-19 in the country is 77,309.

Active cases in the country now number 15,563.
In total, Malaysia has registered 93.30 cases of Covid-19.
Currently, 116 people are being treated in intensive care units, and 57 of them require respiratory assistance.
