Dr Noor Hisham said that the three states with the highest number of cases were Selangor (402), Sabah (346) and Negri Sembilan (121).
“The high number of Covid-19 cases in Selangor is due to the increase in cases from the Teratai group, which registered 298 cases.
“In Sabah, the high number of cases was recorded because Covid-19 testing was being actively carried out, while the increase in Negri Sembilan is due to more cases from the existing groups,” said in a statement the Saturday (November 21).
Dr Noor Hisham added that 21 cases were from prisons, namely the Jalan Harapan, Tembok and Seberang Prai groups.
“There are 108 cases of Covid-19 that are treated in intensive care units (ICUs), and 45 cases require respiratory support,” he said.
