GOMBAK: A contractor has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing his three stepdaughters at a house in Bandar Baru Selayang.
Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Arifai Tarawe said the 52-year-old man was detained around 12:40 a.m. on Sunday (November 15).
“The suspect was arrested after one of his stepdaughters, a 14-year-old girl, filed a police report claiming that he would kiss, hug and grope her while her mother was sleeping or not at home.
“The victim claimed that the incidents occurred from February to October,” he said in a statement Sunday.
ACP Arifai said the suspect had also allegedly threatened the victim not to tell anyone about the assault.
“We also received information that the suspect had sexually abused the victim’s older sisters, ages 15 and 20. When the victim’s brother and mother found out, they took the victim to file a complaint,” he added.
All three victims were sent to Selayang Hospital for medical examinations, ACP Arifai said.
“The suspect will be sent to preventive detention to assist in the investigations,” he added.
