PETALING JAYA: The conditional movement control order (CMCO) imposed in Labuan will run for another two weeks from October 31 to November 13, Chief Minister (Defense) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri (pix) announced today.
He also announced an extension of the CMCO in several other villages in Kudat, Sabah (Kg. Pengaraban, Kg. Tg. Kapor and Kg. Landung Ayang) from October 30 to November 12.
“The three localities involve 13,884 villagers in 2,393 households. They will be allowed to buy basic goods from 6 a.m. M. At 6 p. M. ”, He said at a press conference.
On a related matter, he said a total of 508 people were arrested yesterday for disobeying standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Of these, the biggest offenders were those who did not wear masks (160).
Others included not providing equipment to record personal data (113), not practicing social distancing (97), operating beyond stipulated hours (33), entertainment activities in the media (10), and others (95).
Compounds were issued to a total of 501 people, six were arrested and one posted bail.
Kuala Lumpur had the highest number of people issued compounds (192), followed by Selangor (155) and Sabah (36).
Ops Benteng also saw 18 illegal immigrants arrested, along with three confiscated vehicles.
To date, there were 55,833 people returning to the country.
Of that number, 9,002 are in mandatory quarantine, 381 were transferred to hospitals for treatment, while 46,450 were discharged and allowed to return home.
The compliance working group has also conducted 52,327 inspections of public places to date, including markets, factories and restaurants, to ensure that all standard operating procedures are followed.
