The government had decided to implement CMCO in all peninsular states except Perlis, Kelantan, and Pahang for four weeks from November 9 to December 6.

Mohd Redzuan said that after the decision, the standard operating procedures (SOPs) established for CMCO areas would be tightened, especially those related to social activities, even in controlled areas such as prisons, dungeons and temporary detention centers.

He said that with the implementation of the CMCO SOPs, permission for interstate travel must be obtained.

“Interstate movement is restricted, except for economic and labor activities, with the establishment of barricades on all state lines beginning at 12:01 pm on November 9. The Malaysian Police and Armed Forces will ensure that standard operating procedures for social activities are strictly adhered to, “he said.
