Close Contacts of Covid-19 Case from Gym at KL Mall, Test Negative

KUALA LUMPUR: The results of the Covid-19 tests carried out on those identified as close contacts of the Babel gym member who tested positive have tested negative.

In a statement today, Suria KLCC management said that a thorough follow-up of contacts was carried out immediately after being alerted to the Covid-19 case involving a member of the Babel gym.

According to the statement, the Babel gym member in question had been to the Suria KLCC gym on four separate occasions between September 9 and September 13, 2020.

“In an immediate action to ensure the safety of the public, Suria KLCC carried out a complete sanitation and disinfection exercise of the entire shopping center, especially in the common areas. The measures included regular cleaning of items that have more frequent contact points, ”he said.

He also said that Suria KLCC does not expect any impact on the mall business as the case is well contained and business operations will continue as usual.

“We advise members of the public not to speculate and / or spread unfounded rumors. During this time, the best measure is to act responsibly and remain calm while obtaining valid information from official sources ”.
