KUALA LUMPUR, October 4 – Following the network outage this afternoon, Celcom announced that its voice and data services are now up and running. The restoration of their network has started from 6:00 p.m. and they have apologized for the inconvenience caused as the affected customers cannot make calls and connect to the Internet.

As a token of appreciation for their customers’ patience, Celcom will not deduct any data fees from 6:00 pm to 12:00 am Of course, this will not make any difference if you already have an unlimited plan.

Celcom CEO Idham Nawawi tweeted an apology tonight for the network problem that started at 3pm. He added that the free use of data is a token of appreciation for the support and patience of his customers.
