KUALA LUMPUR, November 5 – A month after the last major network outage, several Celcom customers are now experiencing problems accessing the Internet on their mobile devices. Based on complaints, it appears that the problem had started this morning.
Celcom is currently trending on Twitter and a significant number of users complained of not being able to open websites and Google. Other apps like YouTube, Grab, and Food Panda seem to be affected as well. It is not clear how extensive the problem is, but it appears to be sporadic.
According to the tweets, Celcom’s data services are not completely down as some apps like Facebook are reported to be accessible.

Hears @Celcom I’m using your hotspot line, and I’m FMH.
Why take great coverage from last night?
Are you planning to spoil our mood every month like this? Every month there are technical problems, then a few GB is free.

At the time of writing, our Yoodo line, which uses the Celcom network, appears to be unaffected.
Celcom is aware of the problem and is working to resolve it. According to Celcom’s website, they have announced that customers in some areas of the country may find their data services affected due to a technical problem. They advised affected customers to reboot their devices.
From the looks of it, Celcom faced a similar outage last night between 20.10 and 8.54. The issue was resolved and they also urged customers to restart their devices if the issue persists. – SoyaCincau
