Bruno Fernandes has welcomed Alex Telles as his new teammate at Manchester United following his arrival on the deadline.
Both players met in the Primeira Liga last season with Sporting Lisbon and Porto.
But now they share the same locker room after Telles signed for a fee of around £ 18 million.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made the Brazilian a top target, who has been impressed by his offensive outing.
With Luke Shaw struggling with his fitness and Brandon Williams inexperienced, the Norwegian was interested in another left back.
Telles scored 11 goals last season and was desperate to move to United, forcing Porto to accept an offer.
And the former Inter Milan star has revealed what Fernandes told him about the Red Devils.
“I think I’m going to meet a wonderful group,” Telles told United’s official website.
“I have spoken with Bruno Fernandes and he has told me how welcoming the boys are. I think I will settle down very well in the group.”
Telles is one of four signings on the Old Trafford deadline, including Edinson Cavani, Amad Traore and Facundo Pellistri.
The most notable of those arrivals is Cavani, who saw her contract expire at Paris St-Germain this summer.
The Uruguayan international joins a wealth of experience at the age of 33 to give Solskjaer more attacking options.
However, after he was awarded the famous number 7 jersey, everything confirmed that a deal for Jadon Sancho had been canceled.
United kept the jersey for the England international, but Borussia Dortmund had rejected their efforts.
Regardless, Solskjaer was on the moon to land Cavani as a result of his experience.
Manchester United are looking to chart their way back to the top. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already signed Donny van de Beek, but Jadon Sancho remains Manchester United’s number one target.
