KUALA LUMPUR: Barisan Nasional General Secretary Annuar Musa has been told to self-quarantine in Kota Kinabalu after being in close contact with Umno Supreme Council member Razlan Rafii who was confirmed positive for Covid -19.
The Federal Territories minister said that yesterday he had received an observation and surveillance order from the Kota Kinabalu health office.
“With this order, I must self-quarantine in a residence in Kota Kinabalu for a specified period,” he said on Facebook.
Annuar said he had had an RT-PCR test done at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) three days ago and it was confirmed to be negative.
He said another test was done at the Kota Kinabalu Health Department and hopes to get the result soon.
Annuar, who is also the BN’s coordinator for the Sabah elections, said he had to cancel his schedule, including attending Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin’s speech last night and his visit to Pitas and Kota Belud today.
“I will continue to work from home and communicate with all levels of the electoral machinery as usual,” he said.
