BLACKPINK is dominating the iTunes charts around the world with their first full-length album!

On October 2 at 1 p.m. KST, BLACKPINK made their highly anticipated comeback with their first studio album “THE ALBUM” and their title track “Lovesick Girls.” (Only the digital version of the album was released; the physical album will be released on October 6.) Immediately after its release, BLACKPINK’s long-awaited album rose to the top of the iTunes charts in many countries around the world.

According to YG Entertainment, as of 7 a.m. KST on October 3, “THE ALBUM” had reached No. 1 on iTunes Top Album Charts in at least 57 different regions, including the United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Spain, France, Sweden, Greece, Poland, Portugal, Norway, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Macao, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Additionally, the music video for “Lovesick Girls” managed to surpass 50 million views on YouTube in less than 18 hours, and less than a day after the video was released, BLACKPINK’s official YouTube channel has already gained approximately 500,000 new subscribers. .
