YOUR OPINION | “PAS does not fully trust Umno, so Bersatu is insurance against Umno.”
Umno-PAS is company, three are crowd – Khaled Nordin
Kelantan MB is interested in boosting the Bersatu-Umno-PAS cooperation
Bravemalaysian: Umno doesn’t trust Bersatu because Umno members were “stolen” and will probably want to compete in many districts where Umno feels confident of winning.
Bersatu’s existence is at Umno’s expense because basically they both attract the same voters.
PAS does not fully trust Umno, so Bersatu is insurance against Umno. Otherwise, there is no reason for PAS to continue to support Bersatu.
This will be a very difficult triumvirate relationship. There are many hidden political maneuvers taking place.
Umno would do much better to separate, reinvent himself with new leaders, and then cooperate with Pakatan Harapan.
This is also difficult because they will lose the deceptive advantage of making DAP a bogeyman for Muslims / Malays. Umno is now trapped between the devil and the deep dark ocean.
BlueShark1548: However, the leader of Umno, Mohamed Khaled Nordin, is right. Why should Umno, a Malay party before Merdeka and a household name to Malaysians, let Bersatu accompany him to share seats and therefore power?
Bersatu is a group of deserters from Umno and is less than three years old. How can it behave as if it has the same status as Umno?
Umno should not fall into the trap of Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin. Without sharing seats with Umno, Bersatu would likely lose most of the seats.
Furthermore, Muhyiddin / Azmin Ali’s goal is to contest the same seats they won when they were under Umno and if Umno demands the return of these seats, the duo would not have a Malay majority seats to contest.
Rod of Justice 2020: Stop talking nonsense, Khaled. Referencing British politics, saying that former British Prime Minister Theresa May couldn’t go through with Brexit because she didn’t have the numbers, it’s funny and the joke is certainly yours.
You also said: “A dominant Malay party has existed for a long time and cannot be extinguished so easily.” It is only your ignorance and stupidity plus arrogance that cannot be extinguished.
PAS is like a parasite, trying to cling more to Bersatu and Umno. Even Dr. Mahathir Mohamad made a fool of himself when he was prime minister.
Once both hosts are sicker than they are now, it will take over. He has already infested Sabah just by using his two sick hosts.
The real mistake and sin of the corrupt politicians is not that they are unaware of the evil and ambitious ideology of the PAS, but nevertheless they invited the devil who they arrogantly thought they could control and regain lost power and money.
And some just allowed it, thinking ignorantly and without conscience that it will not affect them and that parasites can be controlled.
Doc: Khalid, please explain: what would attract non-Malaysian, non-Muslim and East Malaysian bumiputeras to vote for the PAS and Umno alliance?
The PAS continues to demonstrate its hard-line non-Muslim intolerance since it is in power. Not to mention the restriction of the rights of non-Muslims in this country who PAS believes are not following its version of Islam.
And what about Umno? Its foundation was based on the principles of corruption, cronyism and racism. This PAS-Umno alliance appears to be built on the same principles.
Shadows game: Almost 70 percent of the population is Malaysian and you are still talking about “domination”, Khaled? When will you stop talking about it?
The only logical reason for this is that your Malay type number (including Malay PAS type) is not yet sufficient to create the domain you want. Perhaps because of this, the other type of Malay is now the prime minister.
Well, when will you get rid of this mentality? I guess even if Malay is 100 percent of the population, you will still be talking about Malay dominance.
MokhtarAhmad: Are we all happy to keep non-Malays and non-Muslims out of the mainstream in Malaysia?
Sad to say that if the world knew what Malaysia is doing, we would be treated like North Korea or Iran, where international sanctions would be applied.
It is quite disturbing to see that there is not a single Malaysian politician from Bersatu, Umno or PAS who speaks out against discrimination against non-Malays and non-Muslims.
GrayCondor1956: Yes, Khaled said that Umno is the oldest and most dominant party. Furthermore, the greatest looters, traitors, preachers and users of religion and race to divide and rule. He has not moved this country forward with his views on the tunnel and his selfish agenda.
We are now lagging behind our ASEAN neighbors (and much less Asians). It is not you who should take care of this blessed land. You are a curse to the nation and as they say “all good things come to an end”, so will your glory days. And the ending may not be pretty.
Wake up Malaysians, do you want these people to lead the nation? Come the general elections, let’s take out all the useless and selfish of all the parties. We rakyat can come together and say enough is enough.
P_Moms: Why be selective when trying to emulate another democracy? Why stop at something that fits your personal enrichment agenda?
Unlike ours, British democracy does not condone or believe in racial or religious politics. For them, racial politics is racist politics.
It is no illusion that the intolerant ‘reality’ that you and your class have been continually preaching and insisting for decades has only helped stunt this nation’s growth and retard the mindset of most of its people.
