A passenger in an electronic calling vehicle used foul language during an inspection at a roadblock, police said.

KUALA LUMPUR: A bank officer was arrested for making an obscene gesture at police officers during an inspection at a checkpoint in Persiaran Tropicana, Kota Damansara, last night.

Petaling Jaya District Police Chief Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said police had stopped an electronic call vehicle for inspection at 11:30 pm It was driven by a neighbor with a 39-year-old man as a passenger.

However, the man made an obscene gesture showing his middle finger and spoke foul language to the police officers on duty and refused to cooperate. He also acted aggressively and the police had to use minimal force to arrest him, ”he said today in a statement.

Nik Ezanee said the man was in preventive custody for three days and that the case was under investigation for obstructing public officials in the performance of their duties.
